About The Artist
Donald first took up painting in 1954 whilst working in London as an executive with an international organisation. His work has always been strongly influenced by the French Impressionist School, the mood and atmosphere of the subject being all important. His work was accepted for the London Lord Mayor’s Art Award Exhibition and after other successful one man exhibitions his work became widely accepted in England and Overseas.
This success influenced him to give up commerce and paint as a full time profession. Before his death he lived and worked in Canterbury.
