Jase Powell

Jase Powell is a photography artist born and raised in Hackney, London. Powell’s journey began after he enrolled in a photography course when a friend gave him a camera. Having no patience and a strong vision for what he wanted to do, he cut short the photography course and began work as a photographer’s assistant. He did this for a few years before going freelance and working with various magazines including iD magazine. During this time he met many people; from hip hop artists to royalty and everything in between. This is when his visual journey into being a creative photographer began and what he took away from that experience was that everyone has something unique about them – an attitude that he continues to use in his work today.

Fast forward to the present and he now concentrates on producing his unique artwork which is heavily influenced by his love of photography and involves producing various works on different textures, ranging from Lego bricks to faux ostrich skin.
