Luke Jerram

 
 

Since his professional career as an artist began in 1997, Luke Jerram has created a number of extraordinary art projects which have excited and inspired people around the globe. Based in the UK, Luke Jerram’s practice involves the creation of sculptures, installations, live arts projects and gifts.

Glassworks

Jerram’s Glass Microbiology sculptures are in Museum collections around the world including The Corning Museum – NYC, Barcelona Museum and the Museum of Glass - Washington. In 2009, his sculptures were presented at The Mori Museum, Tokyo along with work by Damien Hirst, Warhol and Leonardo da Vinci.

In 2010, he was awarded the coveted ‘Rakow Glass Award’ for his work and in 2007 the ‘Institute for Medical Imaging Award’. Jerram has recently completed a fellowship at the Museum of Glass, Washington, USA. Awarded Europe’s largest arts award the NESTA Fellowship in 2002-2005, his first sculpture was created during this time.

Serge JUPIN ’s kinetic sculptures give objects a whole new lease of life. Fashioned from found objects and recycled vintage materials, this wonderful collection of figures quietly clicks and whirs from a distance. It’s only on close inspection that the robot’s humble origins are revealed, lending wit and poetry to every piece of junk.

New Gallery!
We have added a New Gallery in Canterbury
This Exciting New Space will add a whole new dimension to the work that we show.
Open in the first weeks of January with a launch party on the 20th. This will be an invitation only event so please let us know if you'd like to come along.

Our Framing workshop (currently in Herne Bay) will be moving in to the existing gallery in Castle Street during February. We will now be able to offer a bespoke framing service in Canterbury
