2nd in the series of the Herringkel in the Aerorganic series of sculptures, this piece is a melange between machine and organism, aeroplane and fish (a Heinkel He III and a Herring?). Showing what remains of its propulsion system and control surfaces, its structure exposed, this hints at what may once have been: perhaps this was discovered on a sandy shore, the corroded remains of a once great species, a machine grown or a totem from a long lost Cargo Cult or those who destroyed the biology to try to replace it with technology?
