Lyndon Hayes

Lyndon Hayes is a freelance illustrator with over 25 years of experience in the industry. Although his illustrative style of line & brush work take up most of his commissions, its’ the painting process that he stills prefers, working on canvas whenever possible.

Now living in Ramsgate, Lyndon studied in Brighton in the mid 90’s before moving to London to study for an M.A at Central Saint Martin’s College before moving to the South East coast in 2021.

Lyndon works on a wide range of commercial commissions from large institutions such as English Heritage & the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford to more editorial areas such as a regular slot in The Observer Monthly Magazine.

Last year’s summer exhibition in Ramsgate entitled ‘Faded Seaside Glamour’ brought together  themes of what happens to these coastal resorts, once favoured by English tourists once the summer season ends. The two new pieces exhibited here with their figureless environments provide a thought provoking topic to make us question how much we really view nostalgia over reality.
